Grandecon 2022!

It all started with an idea, ‘maybe I could do this to, maybe I could bring my art out into the world’.. I mean why the hell not!

And so the process began. I wish that there was a guide, maybe titled “Convention for Dummies” for artists like me who have zero idea what to do to \prepare for conventions. SO it took many hours of research and planning to prep for this inaugural convention.

The prep required was not something I was ready for ( will need another page for the Do’s and Don’ts). But with the help of some of my closest friends and my loving husband I was ready to go.

The experience was invaluable! Not just as an upcoming artist but as a spectator and participant. From setup to takedown, the atmosphere was alive and welcoming. Meeting artists from all over the province and getting a chance to hustle for three days together with them was an experience I'll never trade.

A pretty big deal for an artist new to the scene. It was an incredible experience, meeting artists of all genres, content creators, and starting the mornings with the 501st Legion marching through the event. I hope to do it again and again.
